What is the MNTRN?
The Minnesota Technical Recruiters Network


The purpose of the TRN is to assist members in upgrading their skills through discussion of best practices, networking with peers, and attending various educational seminars.

TRN membership is open to staffing professionals engaged in the process of recruiting candidates. Professionals who recruit non-technical candidates are encouraged to become TRN members as cross-functional recruiting is a reflection of the changing marketplace. Individuals engaged in "Third Party" recruiting are included as candidates for TRN membership. This also includes contract recruiters whose efforts solely are of benefit to their contracted organization.

We encourage TRN members to network with other TRN members in a professional manner

Chris Forman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AIRS, is a seasoned business executive and one of the Industry's most dynamic speakers and thinkers on recruiting technology, talent development, and OFCCP compliance. Mr. Forman has spoken at more than 75 HR and recruiting industry events and has been quoted in publications such as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, HR Executive, Government Executive, SI Review and Purple Squirrel. Before joining AIRS, Mr. Forman held a series of leadership positions at fast-growth technology firms. He is a graduate of Colby College and lives with his wife (Angela) and their three kids (Emma, Noah & Will) in Meriden, NH.

Source: www.positivelyminnesota.com Monthly Unemployment Rate Minnesota's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for May jumped to 5.4 percent, up sixth-tenths of a point from April, at least in part as a result of substantial statewide job losses in April.  This is the highest the unemployment rate has been since 1991.  The number of people unemployed jumped to 158,404, its highest level since 1983.  The share of the state’s working age population that is working dropped to 68.9 percent, its lowest since 1988.   The national unemployment rate rose half a point to 5.5 percent in May....
