“Get to know the technology and skills needed now and be a more prepared recruiter/resource manager for the future"

Four megatrends are emerging that will be dominant forces of technology and business change over the coming decade: mobility, social, cloud, and business intelligence (BI)/big data. These four megatrends are not only happening simultaneously, but are highly interconnected. Unlike other major shifts in technology where typically there has been one predominant trend (such as the introduction of mainframe and, later, client/server computing), businesses must address all four of these trends at the same time. The bottom line is stimulating an ongoing and enriching long-term relationship with customers. Both online and offline, your customer interactions have never been more crucial to building brand loyalty. With these trends, specifics include:

The proliferation of new device types, along with the connectivity of the cloud, is making us more mobile and changing the way we work and play.

As technology becomes more immersive, we also expect it to help us develop more personal and social connections with colleagues and customers.

The connectivity the cloud offers is changing what we expect from technology. With an always-on connection, apps can provide innovative new services with instant scalability and attractive economics.

While business intelligence (BI) has been important for a great number of years, the explosion in connected devices and apps is generating an exponential growth in data and the need to get better insights from “big data.”

So what does this mean for you? This is a challenge you must juggle to find the best people that can grow into the new business model in which technology will be shifting into a new work era. You must play an integral part in fostering a culture of innovation and creating an environment that encourages the piloting of new technologies can lead to competitive advantages. Without a doubt, the rise of the cloud is enabling new ways of doing business that were cost prohibitive just a couple of years ago. And advances in mobile and social technologies are enabling people to connect and share in new ways.

*Come learn at our August session to further understand how these megatrends will shape the future of technology and the workplace as you hire and play an integral part in retaining your top talent by knowing how these trends will influence board room decisions.

Both Members and Non-Members may attend.
